if you are wondering how to do the diamond shape, you just need to jump to the fourth dimension, fold the paper and then come back. That was the trick.

If you need tips, I'm your gal. TIP 1: DON'T crease the folds. It makes air escape, preventing the puffing effect at the end. TIP 2: If you have too much tail at the end to where it sits weird, simply fold the excess (or cut) before tucking. If you're going to cut, do it AFTER tucking. TIP 3: Use three fingers to stabilize, and your THUMB to push. The mental hospital girl did actually make a tut on how to make paper stars with all of these tips! I found it on Pinterest :)
